Do you know any miners slang if so what are they?
If you had to describe life during the mining era in one word what would it be?

What is your opinion on the miners strike?
Opinions of miners strike was very hard trying to keep your family fed and warm generally the community worked together but there was also a lot of bad things keeping warm was 1 of the hardest when we had burned things we could manage witout furniture etc we used to go to the slag heap to pick coal very early in the morning to the wood to get fallen branches anything we could burn. We had food parcels what the NUM collected from anywhere they could damaged tins either dented or labeless so we had a few surprises but it was food
What would you say a miners mood was like? happy, average, miserable etc.
Miners mood generally they worked and played hard so I would say they were mostly happy.
What was it like been the wife of someone working in the mines?
Been married to a miner was good but then again I was always married to a miner
What is/was it like been part of a miners family?
Been part of a mining family was good most of the time it was a very close knit community I used to love it when pit ponies came up pit for a 2 week holiday I remember when when pit buzzer went for change of shift I used to run down pit lane to meet my Dad .
